That’s what shines about MfnCHeeKS, and his new song “ITYBTWSG”. A strong record that shines in its swagger and appeal to make a genuine connection with the listener, so much so we wanted catch up this artist and he was gracious enough to take time to answer some questions. Who is MFNCheeks the artist?
-MfnCHeeKS is just an individual who strives to be heard. I know it’s a difference when you press that play button and hear my music. The confidence in my voice knowing you can set me apart from anybody in the industry. The goal is just to get the listener to press play. One way or another I’m gonna get you to press play.
How do you feel you’ve grown since the last time we’ve interviewed you?
-I’m getting older and wiser, with that said I know what I want to create. New music these days aren’t really exciting, it’s gray to say the least. Nothing really replay worthy. I’m still the same artist who wants to create a vibe. Like you gone love it here, and that’s the feeling I strive to make in the new content I’m releasing.
What excites you the most about your career present day?
-I’m excited that I’m not a copy cat ya know? Like you know when people compare certain artist to other artists? I feel like you can’t compare me to nobody! Nobody sounds like me, truly in my own lane.
Tell us how you created your newest collaboration with Cheez Weez “ITYBTWSG”?
-If you know me and Cheeze, you know we are confident men. This song aims at the fellas out there who aren’t confident in themselves. Especially when they deal with or have a woman. When you hear the song, I feel like between our two verses, it’s how men should be on a day to day. Be on your shit, cause if you’re on your shit you don’t gotta worry bout the bullshit.
How did you know it was time to release “ITYBTWSG”
-Insecurity is at an all time high bro, the abbreviation stands for “If that’s your bitch then why she going” lol Self explanatory. It’s a not so serious song in a sense that you can play over and over to motivate at the same time.
How has the feedback been for it thus far?
– I haven’t dropped anything since 2020 so the feedback has been great, the oh shit! Reactions with unlimited flame emojis 🔥 lets me know I’m still in that pocket! It’s time to wake them all back up! Go mode! Cheeze Weez voice, Haha.
What’s next for MFNCheeks?
Me and my brotha Cheeze Weez is finalizing our joint album “Better Late Than Never” of which “ITYBTWSG” is the first single. Gotta rebuild that buzz back up from being gone for so long. You can easily be forgotten in the music scene, but it’s not our time to fade yet! After this I’ll be finishing the sequel to my album “Viibes” with “V2bes” 🤙🤙🤙
