Music is something that can divide people just as much as it brings us together. It’s truly something that can be debated limitlessly, but something that brings us together is a record we can relate to. Those records you can hit play on and just know the artist truly gets what life is like, bringing relatable substance that gets us through like no other. That type of record is what you get from Jay Aberry on the new song “Proud of You”.
It’s does a grand job of bringing a big time Pop sound together, with strong writing to make the perfect storm of artistry that makes you fall in love with the music. The Commercial appeal to the music brings a digestibility to the music that makes it sound ready for the world, while Jay Aberry lets his powerful approach to the vocals, touch the listener with the motivational substance in the writing that connects majorly, and even more in the chorus to make a song that is major in every way, on this must hear record that makes fans of us all.
