Something there is never a shortage of is artists. Daily there’s a plethora of new artists for people to hear, but some people are stars. When you hear them or see them you know instantly this person is something special, I should pay attention to. That’s exactly how we felt when we heard Lexy Panterra and her new song “Fall”. She was gracious enough go take some time to answer some questions for us. Below is the interview!
Who is Lexy Panterra the artist?
She is about to be a brand new person. You will see. Anything you have already heard is about to change. I’m always evolving both personally and professionally, and I’m excited to release a project unlike anything else I’ve done before. It’s a new era!
Who are some of the influences and how do you incorporate that into the music?
I love hop hop and R&B. I also have gotten a little bit of rock and roll love from my dad’s side too. And I love dance music! Anything that makes me feel something, I am all about.
What was your favorite part of creating your new song “Fall”?
Just explaining my feelings so that I don’t have to sit on them anymore. I love that part of every record. It’s very therapeutic and helps me further explore my own thoughts and actions. “Fall” was different than what my fans usually expect from me, and that’s okay, because there’s a lot more of that coming! I love surprising them and shaking things up.
How did you decide when to drop “Fall”?
It was honestly a last minute decision. I’ve been sitting on several records and I’ve been scared to release them. But I finally got the bug and moved on it! Plus, I wanted to bring some joy during these crazy times, and dropping a new record felt like the perfect move.
What is the biggest thing you want people to take away from your music?
I just want them to be able to relate and feel some type of emotion! Feel anything, just feel something. And no you’re not alone in whatever it is you’re going through.
