Dee’s pen has always been sharp on here and we had to know more about his process. Dee Wallz was gracious enough to break down “Magnificent Music” with us. Below is the interview
Who is Dee Wallz?
I’m a young lyricist from Memphis,TN looking to make a name for myself a premier lyricist, rapper and all around artist.
What inspired the motivational lyrical approach to “Magnificent Music”?
Man to be honest that beat soon as i heard the beat it felt inspiration, elogent and not to be cheesy but magnificent. And as I was writing my creativity took me there. It was a mix of braggadocio, introspection and wanting to inspire people because that’s how the beat spoke to me.
In your opinion what is the bar you wrote that you knew would get people’s attention and break it down? ”
“I’m the audio version of Steven Spielberg, words get dispersed don’t you dare disengage. Something special when my pen hit the page.”
With those bars i just felt like it was a perfect mix of displaying confidence and being poetical. With the reference to Steven Spielberg being a great director and me comparing myself to him because i feel like i paint pictures and bring my words to life. And I feel like its always something special when i write much like his movies are, i mean who doesn’t like Jurassic Park lol
What do you think is the bar that people may sleep on listening to “Magnificent Music” and why?
“Thoughts flowing through my mind about a million things, my life been like a movie I won’t skip a scene”
What went into those bars was me saying no matter what I’m a stick it through whether good or bad in life and i wouldn’t redo or change anything. I think those lines may be overlooked because i didn’t continue to go in depth with the 2nd bar. But i feel like some may get it.
What would you rate your pen on “Magnificent Music” 1-10? 10 being the highest?
In my humble opinion… 16 lol nah but i gotta say a 10 because for me believing in myself. The modest side of me see that i can and will continue to grow as a artist
What can people expect next from Dee Wallz?
Man definitely more material coming soon. I like to drop loosies frequently. But I have my song “Fuego” dropping on March 29th on all platforms but you can stream it on Soundcloud as of right now definitely give that a listen.
